Nicola Filshie
Musical Theatre/Dance Teacher

Nicki began her professional training at the Dance School of Scotland and later went on to train in musical theatre at Bird college of performing arts.


After leaving college Nicola performed in numerous pantos to gain her equity card before getting her first big break in Andrew Lloyd Webber's original cast of Sunset Boulevard at the Adelphi Theatre in West End. She went on to appear in numerous west end shows including: Oliver( London Palladium); Martin Guerre (Prince Edward theatre); Damn Yankees (Adelphi Theatre); Maddie (Lyric Theatre); DR Dolittle (Apollo Hammersmith); Whittington (Saddlers Wells); My Fair Lady( Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) Beautiful and Damned (lyric Theatre); Mary Poppins ( Prince Edward); Nicola also went on tour with the musical Grease playing the role of Frenchy, and My Fair Lady where she was Dance captain.


Other credits include: South Pacific (National Theatre) and Twelfth night, Cymboline, and H.M.S Pinafore (regents park open air theatre) Beauty and the Beast (R.S.C Stratford).


Nicki can be seen in the film version of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream coat and has recorded many voice overs for Scottish T.V and Radio.


Over the past few years Nicki has devoted her time to teaching, teaching, she has her A.I.S.T.D in Ballet and Modern, and has a cache level 1 qualification in Child development.
